School Stuff [Sep. 5th, 2006|04:34 pm]
[Current Mood |excitedI like most of my classes!]

So, as I attempted to sleep last night (which I didn't...seriously, I sat in bed from 1:00 am to 6:00 am because I couldn't sleep) I realized that after high school, I won't have a Michigan home to come home to. I mean, this is my last year living in Warren, and that kind of makes me sad...I only have one year left in this house and no matter where I go to college, I can no longer call this house my home...so, while pondering this, I also realized how much I'm going to miss this community...but what the heck, I still have a year left, I'm going to live it up to the fullest!

School today was a waste of my life...but at least I didn't fill out endless amounts of book cards and crap like past years. I just had to fill out one of them! Woot woot! Here's a rundown of my classes.
1). Band - So, this class is always and always will be fun...until Burkett finds some inane and cunning way to suck the fun out of it...she hasn't yet, but only time will tell. Plus, the class seemed a lot smaller since we only have half the band now. And what is with Burkett talking about using the auditorium all the time and crap...why the hell do we even have a band room to begin with if she isn't ever going to use it...friggin' waste of space...
2). Foods - This class is full of people I don't even know, or haven't even seen before. And it's not even full of the kind I would even *attempt* to make friends with...just the deadbeat, emo kind...and shawn creighton...*shudder* If Steph drops out, I swear, I'll lose what's left of my sanity!
3). Journ III (aka Yearbook) - This class I am *really* looking forward too! I like most of the people in my class and I know most of them! Plus, Cassler, the teacher, is a crazy hippie...and that's why I love her! <3 Her and me are on a basis where I can just make fun of her to her face, and she doesn't mind...she can take a joke, unlike other stiff-necked teacher who teach at Tower.
4). Programming 1 - So, I don't know what I'll learn in this class, but hey, it's all on computers, so that means no losing papers! Yippee!! Plus, it's Dembinski, who I had last year, so it's all good!
5). TV Production - So, I've always wanted to take this class because I'm usually the one in front of the camera, right? In this class, I get to learn what goes on *behind* the scenes, so I'm sooooooo excited! We get to write scripts, learn how to edit video, be on video, and all of that other good stuff!
6). AP English - Besides the terrifying homework load that I'm expecting to receive from this class, and besides it being the only *real* class that I'm taking this year, I like this class. Schmid is by far in my top favorite teacher list. Her and Cassler are a comical pair if I've ever seen one, which makes me glad I have both of them! All of the kids in this class I usually talk to on a regular basis, so it's pretty much just my Tower peeps, me, Schmiddy, and English...woot woot!

That's my schedule so far...oh, and I have A lunch...That's all I'm going to say for now, my hand is starting to hurt...aw well, what can ya do?

~Peace out foo's!

Last... [Sep. 4th, 2006|11:55 pm]
[Current Mood |sadAll Good Things Must End]

These are the last five minutes of the last day of my last summer vacation as a high schooler...dang...I don't want it to end...*sigh*...I have to say...it was one heck of a ride!

Bye summer, you will be missed!

SOS [Sep. 3rd, 2006|06:19 pm]
Frickety Frick Frick!
The questions for AP English are due Tuesday and I haven't even read one of the books!! I need help, bad! If you are in AP English next year, call me or something so we can get together and finish these bad mutha-effers! On that note, this darn class is pressuring me and school hasn't even started yet! I promised myself that I would not quit it, but the workload is getting tough. I seriously just want to say "f*ck it," but I know that if I do, I'll never get anywhere in life...I'll be stuck in the same old rut where I quit whenever the going gets tough. So, here I am, still trying to do my stupid homework, staring at it for hours, waiting for an answer to either pop into my head or just appear out of nowhere...man, I need help.

I'm ungrounded, which means I can actually use the car now...yeah!! I wonder what I'll do on our half-day Tuesday...hmm...

Thank God band doesn't have a Labor Day parade this year, or else I would seriously flip! I was asked today by a certain someone when band float starts...and honestly...I completely forgot all about band float. I have no clue when we'll be building one, let alone, where it is at...

MySpacing It Up! [Sep. 2nd, 2006|10:15 pm]
Probably no one reads my LiveJournal in the first place...I kinda got that impression. It's partly my fault for not updating it as often as I should. Ah, well...

For those of you who *ARE* left and have a MySpace account, go to my MySpace and check out all of my poetry blogs. There's five of them...count 'em...five...*unless you count the one to Eric, in that case, there's six.* Anyways, read them and comment on them for me please. You don't have to comment on all of them...just one's enough...but please, check them out if you have the time. I *really* *sincerely* want to know what you guys think of them. Let me know!

Okay, enough with the MySpace for now. On another completely unrelated note, I've realized that summer is now pretty much over. My last Saturday of the summer is coming to an end, and I'm really going to miss it. I mean, this is my last summer as a High School student. It's kind of scary that in less than a year, I'll be graduating. Wow, time flies...

Some Stuff [Aug. 31st, 2006|09:32 am]
[Current Mood |tiredI want some sleep]

Eh, meeting this morning at 10 for yearbook...*snore*...I kinda don't want to go, but whatever.

Tonight is another football game at Tower! Woot woot! It starts around 7, so be there, or be square!

Yesterday, I went to go see Fraser's marching band perform and I noticed the colorguard weren't doing all that hot. I was like "wtf!" Well, I'm not sure why they weren't doing so hot, but Eric tells me that they all thought I was incredibly hot, so maybe they were too busy staring at me to pay attention to their routine. I do have that effect on people!:) *note to self* Wow, I'm conceited, lol.

Not doing all that much this week, except seeing relatives on the weekend, cleaning my room, and doing some more homework...that's about it...

The Week Before School [Aug. 29th, 2006|10:38 am]
Okay, so I woke up early yesterday to get my schedule and then helped make posters for Science Olympiad...which I'm not even in. What's wrong with this picture? They wanted to put the slogan "Join Science Olympiad...or die!" BUT, that wasn't very much well school appropriate, now is it? So, we pretty much just talked the entire time, catching up with old friends and stuff until we felt like leaving. Yeah, productive day.

Today, woke up at 6:30 (kill me!) and had to be at the high school at 7:30 to work the yearbook booth and take yearbook orders. Supposedly, I signed up to do this at the end of the year last year, which I remember doing, but I only have one problem with it...was I friggin' high! Who the heck signs up to do something that early! I'll have to make a note to never do that again.

Tonight, from 5:00-whenever is the back to school bbq and I've got to put on the band summer uniform and look funky with my shirt all tucked in and perform...funfunfun. I really don't want to perform, I just want to see old friends that I haven't seen all summer. But what can you do...

This week is pretty much going to be boring, consisting of sitting on my butt all day, waiting to do something, and doing English homework...kill me...

Band Camp Day 2 [Aug. 22nd, 2006|04:47 pm]
[Current Mood |confusedYeah, again...]

Okay, so Band Camp is going by awfully slow...I kinda want it to end already, but I'm continuing to be positive because I'm supposed to be a role model, blah blah blah.

Anyways, after seeing the first song Respect cleaned up a bit and with the playing of the band constantly improving, I'm getting even more excited that the half-time show is going to start off with a BANG!!

Despite yesterday's playing of In the Midnight Hour sounding great, on the field, it sucks the big one. Trumpets can't play it, colorguard can't stay in a single file line, and the low brass likes to slow things down. Now, I know that it's only the first day that we've done this song, so I have high hopes that it will improve itself...still hoping...hope's lost...

Burkett thinks that we'll finish the whole entire third song in two hours after dinner...*snicker* is she high?!

The sun continues to burn little holes in my mind, melting it even further, and my stupid farmer's tan is coming back...fudge...

Band kids need to get energized and excited...I mean, I kinda don't want to be there, but you don't see me bringing everyone else around me down...I find strength to push on and do it, and other people just need to suck it up and do the same.

Hopefully, things will go better tonight...

Also, I called Eric last night, and I was glad that after the first day of band camp, I was able to just settle down and talk...god, it's only been about 3 days now and I'm already missing the guy...this is going to be a LONG week...

Band Camp Day 1 [Aug. 21st, 2006|04:44 pm]
[Current Mood |confusedMixed Feelings]

So, band camp started today and it was exciting, to say the least...even though the band camp day isn't finished yet. I'm on my fun-filled two hour lunch break. Here's a little break down of my feeling's of it so far...

1). Some freshmen are really good at catching on with the concepts of left foot versus right foot...others are just plain lost and I don't even think they know what a foot is...
2). Upperclassmen who don't know what they're doing shouldn't be helping out younger peoples and screwing them up even more...it just shouldn't happen...
3). Upperclassmen also need to get more aquainted with the underclassmen...particularly the freshmen. I say this because the freshmen are all hanging out with each other because they feel so overwhelmed and intimidated with what's going on, and no upperclassmen take the time to say "Hi, my name is ___." So, I made about 6 new freshmen friends...Yea me!!!
4). I was really excited when hearing the band play In the Midnight Hour because it sounded freakin' FANTASTIC!!!!! But, then they played Tracks of My Tears and I think I felt a tear fall...and it wasn't the happy kind...
5). For some reason, when I stand on the top of the ladder and conduct peoples, I feel much more confident with what my conducting. Maybe I'm just psychotic, but aren't you supposed to feel MORE pressured when in front of the WHOLE band? I guess I just love the attention...
6). The sun is so hot outside and my blue sunglasses broke...crap...

That's all I really feel like typing out right now...hopefully, band camp gets funnerer, but I know I'll continue with my energy and enthusiasm because right now, the band seems like their dying...badly...

Meh... [Aug. 19th, 2006|10:56 am]
[Current Mood |cheerfulcheerful]

So, this past week was full of fun-filled activities, including band and hanging out with friends and meeting even more new people! It feels like this past week has been the happiest week of my life! The upcoming week is going to be crazy though because that's when the REAL band camp starts...oh, joy and rapture...

I went put-putting last night at CJ Barrymores, which was really fun...but I came in last place...ah, well, we can't all be perfect at everything! :) I'm just happy I got to spend time talking with friends, sing Wicked, and then sit in front of a train for ten minutes on the way home...yippee!!!!!

I've realized the past month that without all of my friends, I would literally go completely insane...assuming I'm not already crazy!

I'm planning to apply for a job at a specific place...yeah!! About time I got off my butt and decided to work!

That's all for now...shoutouts to Danielle, Leanne, and Eric, I love you all! :)
